I used to think that when I travelled to Mexico, there would be a churro stand on every corner. Not true. I have spent hours in search for a fresh hot churro, only to turn up empty handed. Sometimes the locals don't even have a clue as to what I am asking for, even when I am rolling my r's like a native. My dear friends, the hunt is over! Hands down the best churros can be found in the little town of Sayluita, Mexico. There's a husband and wife team, decked out with a homemade churro batter gun, that make the most delicious churros calientitos ever! Light and crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. When you go into town, look for the red truck with a sign on the side of it. Best part... they only cost about 20 pesos, which is like .50 cents us.
